Custom Error Pages in Shared Web Hosting
When you obtain a shared web hosting from us, you'll be able to set customized error pages for your sites fast and easy, as this feature is a part of all of our packages. The moment you've created the files and uploaded them to your web hosting account, you can check out the Hosted Domains section of your Hepsia CP and click on the Edit button for the specific domain or subdomain. Inside the pop-up which will appear, you will see drop-down menus for all 4 kinds of errors and for each of them you may pick an Apache default page, a generic page from our system or a custom made page. In case you pick the third option, you should only input the URL to the file which you have uploaded then save the change. Another way to set custom made error pages is to set up an .htaccess file inside the domain or subdomain folder and to include several lines of program code in it. If you don't have prior experience or if you are simply not sure how to do that, you could simply copy and paste the code from our Knowledge Base article on that subject.
Custom Error Pages in Semi-dedicated Servers
When you host your web sites in a semi-dedicated server account from us, you could set personalized error pages for any of them easily via our in-house developed Hepsia hosting CP. With just several mouse clicks in the Hosted Domains section, you'll be able to change the default setting from a system page to a personalized one for any of the 4 error types. All you need to do is provide a link to each and every file that you've uploaded before that and then save the change. If required, you shall be able to revert this customization whenever you want and in exactly the same way. If you wish, you can use an .htaccess file too. It should be created/uploaded in the domain or subdomain folder related to the site whose error pages you want to modify and the content for this type of file can be found in our Help article for this matter.
