A catch-all email mailbox is one that gathers all the emails sent to non-existent email addresses. For instance, if your email address is info@domain.com, but someone mistypes it and sends a message to inof@domain.com, it will still be received in the catch-all mailbox that you have created. Only one mailbox per domain can have this feature activated and in this way you will never miss messages because the other side has an outdated address or has made a typo. The downside of configuring a catch-all mailbox is that you may begin receiving plenty of spam emails, but this issue can be rectified using an anti-spam filtering solution. It is also crucial to know that a mailbox with an enabled catch-all functionality cannot forward incoming emails to a 3rd-party address.

Catch-all Emails in Shared Web Hosting

You will be able to create a catch-all email mailbox without any effort in case you have a shared web hosting account with us. The Email Manager tool in our in-house developed Hepsia hosting Control Panel is feature-rich, yet surprisingly easy to work with, and it will permit you to enable different features, including the catch-all one, with just a few mouse clicks. All the email addresses that you’ve created will be displayed alphabetically in this section and to the right of each one you will see a mini "Catch-all" symbol. Clicking it once will activate this option, clicking on it again will deactivate it. Since you can have only one such mailbox per domain, our system will notify you if you already have a different mailbox with this option enabled or if you’ve got active email forwarding.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

You will be able to configure a catch-all email address with no more than a click if you’ve got a semi-dedicated server with our company and your email messages are handled by our cloud platform. All the addresses that you create using any domain name hosted in your semi-dedicated account will be enumerated in the Hepsia Control Panel’s Email Manager section. Each of them will have a tiny "Catch-all" icon on its right-hand side, so all it will take to enable this feature will be to click that icon. In the exact same fashion you will be able to deactivate the feature, in case you no longer need it. Our system will let you know in case you’re attempting to activate a second catch-all email address for a specific domain name or if there is enabled email forwarding, but it’ll never disable or alter any feature automatically and without your consent.
